Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez play football as though they are two kids in the schoolyard- Jamie Carragher

Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez were both criticised for their performances during Manchester United's Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace.

Pogba and Sanchez were part of the United side that was 1-0 down at half time after Andros Townsend's opener at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

United's £89million record signing Pogba was the first to come under scrutiny.Pogba also misplaced a number of passes and appeared complacent in his play

The France international misplaced a number of passes, which Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville highlighted at half time.

He accused him of appearing complacent on the pitch before saying that he could understand why Jose Mourinho dropped him last month.

He said: ‘His great strength is that he plays with freedom and like he's playing on the park with his mates and it's like everyone he does is like a YouTube or an Instagram video. It's like it's not serious it's like a joke to him in terms of the way in which he goes about things.Jamie Carragher criticised Sanchez and said he didn't know what he was meant to be doing

'In the second half he could come out and be unbelievable. It's no wonder Jose Mourinho has left him out in the last few weeks a number of times.'

Jamie Carragher, who was also appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports, decided to focus on Sanchez before also turning on Pogba.

He highlighted how Sanchez had been United's most wasteful player in the first half.

He said: ‘You mentioned Pogba... look at how sloppy Manchester United and how poor they've been in possession You've mentioned Pogba but I think Sanchez has been worse. The pair were also accused of being too arrogant on the pitch by Carragher

'Sanchez has lost the ball 19 times in that first half and that's unbelievable. We're talking about a supposed world class player. But I don't know where he's playing.'

Carragher finished his critique of the pair by saying both of them appeared too arrogant.

He added: It's like him [Sanchez] and Pogba are like two kids in the schoolyard "we're the best players we'll go wherever we want".’
